The Record Shelf review of "LAGQ Brazil":

The most accomplished and recorded guitar quartet since the Romeros, the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet has just released its newest Telarc album, and album called "Brazil". It not only features the work of that alluring Brazilian singer (and muse of the Argentian composer Osvaldo Golijov) Luciana Souza, but also serves to introduce the quartet's newest member, Matthew Greif. The transition has apparently been an unusually smooth one, since the group now plays with the same unanimity of thought and purpose that they've always shown. The music itself, like so much of the music from this part of the world, is so sexy and seductive, that this may be the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet's most completely irresistible recording yet.
